I'm Alex Long, a graphic designer with 20 years of experience, both in-house at a charity and as a freelancer.
I'm based in Hackney, London, and have worked with a wide range of clients - campaigners, event organisers, venues, activists and businesses - producing design work that's specific to audience and context.
My work includes event branding, Pride campaigns, printed materials such as research reports, guidance documents, programmes, pop-up banners, merchandise, and logo design across sectors. I've also produced editorial work for magazines and newspapers.

I have longstanding experience working with LGBTQ-focused organisations, as well as in the arts, DIY club scenes and live performance.
I regularly create content for social media across platforms - including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and BlueSky - adapting designs for multiple formats and outputs, ensuring consistency and usability. I also have basic skills in animation and video editing for short-form content.
I'm fluent in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, comfortable using Canva, and experienced working directly with printers and suppliers to produce everything from t-shirts to placards.
I focus on producing work that’s appropriate for its audience and purpose, with attention to clarity, tone and production.
Thanks for your interest - look forward to working with you!
