Rainbow Laces

I designed creative assets for Rainbow Laces, one of Stonewall’s flagship campaigns with the Premier League and other major sports bodies. The campaign needed to work at national scale, from grassroots club materials to high-profile stadium environments, while keeping the message clear, inclusive and instantly recognisable across every touchpoint.

//The Design Process

Campaign consistency: I created a flexible visual system that could be applied across printed flyers, social media, club activation packs, branded merchandise, lace wraps and large-format digital displays, ensuring the campaign felt joined-up across every channel.

Partner-ready assets: I developed materials for use by football clubs, sports organisations and campaign partners, balancing Stonewall’s brand with the practical needs of clubs, venues and national sporting bodies.

Stadium-scale design: I adapted the campaign for digital stadium screens and high-visibility matchday environments, making sure key messages remained bold, legible and impactful at distance.

Photography coordination: I helped coordinate team photography, supporting the production of authentic campaign imagery that could be used across social, print and partner communications.

National campaign reach: Rainbow Laces was delivered across clubs, sporting organisations, fan spaces and digital channels, giving the campaign a consistent visual presence throughout the country.

Multi-channel delivery: the creative worked across everything from small printed materials and lace packaging to social posts, activation packs, merchandise and stadium displays.

Brand protection at scale: I maintained consistency across a large number of campaign assets, helping Stonewall and its partners communicate a clear, confident message across a complex national rollout.

Public-facing impact: the campaign gave clubs, players, fans and sporting bodies practical, visible ways to show support for LGBTQ+ inclusion in sport.
