Zoteria - Hate Crime reporting app

Project type

Campaigns

I created a range of promotional materials for Zoteria, the Vodafone Foundation’s anti-LGBTQ+ hate crime reporting app. The campaign needed to raise awareness of a practical safety tool, communicate trust and urgency, and work across public spaces, community settings and partner networks.

//The Design Process

Campaign adaptation: I developed promotional assets across multiple formats, ensuring the app’s purpose and call to action remained clear whether seen in a venue, event space or community setting.

Public-facing clarity: I designed materials to explain the app quickly and accessibly, helping people understand what Zoteria was, who it was for and how it could support reporting LGBTQ+ hate crime.

Format flexibility: I artworked the campaign across beer mats, posters and flyers, adapting the message and layout to suit both quick-glance promotional formats and more informative printed materials.

Bilingual delivery: I produced flyers in both English and Welsh, supporting wider reach and ensuring the campaign could be used appropriately across different regional contexts.

//The Campaign Result

Practical awareness-building: the materials helped promote Zoteria as a direct, usable reporting tool for LGBTQ+ people and communities affected by hate crime.

Community reach: the campaign formats were designed for distribution in everyday venues, events and partner spaces, helping the message reach people outside traditional campaign channels.

Consistent brand delivery: the design system kept the campaign recognisable across different printed formats, from small beer mats to larger posters and bilingual flyers.

Purpose-led design: the work supported a clear social impact goal, helping connect people with a safety-focused digital tool through accessible, visible and easy-to-understand campaign materials.
